Vanessa Falden Associate

Ms. Falden began her federal civil service career as a GS-1, Summer Intern and retired with 39 distinctive years of dedicated service with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), serving our Nation’s Veterans. From the onset of her career, Ms. Falden recognized importance of employee development. She has trained diverse group of attendees both locally and nationally.

She has also served on a national diversity board.

Ms. Falden served as the Lead Equal Employment Opportunities Manager (EEO) for ten years and provided oversight to seven Veterans Administration Medical Centers EEO Programs. As the Lead EEO Manager, her responsibilities included periodic site visits to provide consultation services, which included coaching, mentoring, and guidance with all aspects of the Six Essential Elements of a Model EEO Program, per EEO guidelines.

 

She routinely provided guidance with fielding questions from

VHA headquarters, management officials, and employees relating to EEO policies, regulations, directives, and significant EEO case laws.

 

Ms. Falden has specialized experience with presentations to numerous audiences on the following topics:   

  • The Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH), 

  • The EEO Complaint Process, 

  • Diversity and Inclusion, 

  • Limited English Proficiency, 

  • Unconscious Bias, 

  • Reasonable Accommodation.  

 

Ms. Falden received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Resources.  She  is currently studying to earn the State of Virginia mediation certification.
